On a side note, to anyone who has a set TOP MOUNTED......are they a real 'eye sore' ? or are they decent looking and not at all 'out of place' looking ?

I don't wanna pay to have a set flush/bottom mounted...lol...and don't have the patience to do it myself.

I have the top mounted ones. Keeping in mind that my car is black...they look pretty hidden and you can paint them. Just a warning to those buying these don't forget to lube the hinge from time to time. I let one of mine get too stiff and it broke. Currently I have two (one on each side), but since they are pretty close to the ends of the hood I plan on having a third locking one in the middle (won't have the factory hood latch).

On the Aerocatch web site they don't recomend the bottom mounts for hood pin applications. My only other recomendation is take your time cutting the hood. I used a dremal cutting wheel and measured many times before doing anything.

Yah.....and I don't have the skill to make it look 'nice'
Top mount, I can get away with a crappy cut job, as there is enough lip on the surrounds to hide my cutting....lol

Is this price DECENT though ? are just average ?

Top mount is more gangsta anyway. And good luck getting a clean hole (umm? ya) for a flush mount. You have to take out sooo much material to do that.

I just had mine installed and they are absolutely perfectly aligned and functioning, I was surprised.

I paid $200 or something for these in a group buy on this forum. So what if it's ebay, they gotta make money too! Good product!
