$1800 US R33 seizure

i have been in contact with the seller. i asked him about the seizure thing, he said it has a SF97 form which is a form to obtain a title...but who would i have to contact to ask about the import law about seized cars???

i camn get it shipped for about $2500.., so i would like to jump on it if i can...

From what I understand US seized cars cannot be exported to countries that share a US border. Most likely to prevent people who are sneaky from "selling" to a friend in Canada or Mexico and sneaking it back in later.

Sadly, many of these cars end up getting crushed because it's cheaper to just buy one in Europe/Asia than it is to import from the States.

There should be some sort of clause in that law where you have to sign an agreement to have it insured in your name for the following year or 2 after the sell date. Or something along those lines.

But what a steal at that price if some one can pick it up! My 32 was astronomical compared to that, and ive only had it 2 years haha.

there is no reason you cannot purchase and import this car.

It just needs to leave the usa

Phone canada customs and US customs. I have seen these for sale before and it is usually stated that the vehicle must be exported off the continent.
Ask the seller to give u some contact info for who to talk to at US customs.
If my friend says yes, you might have some competition.
