DIY: Steering Wheel Replacement Removal and Installation

I recently bought a new steering wheel, and thought I should make a Guide for everyone that might need it in the future.

It's a complete step by step guide, on how to change your steering wheel from OEM to aftermarket using a HICAS adapter boss: http://skyline-life.blogspot.com/201...s-for-all.html

    Yanked off the old one:

and put on the new one:

um my car is a 1991, made in november of 1991. if you look at the pics, my HICAS pins, the 2 plastic things, were at 12 and 6 when the wheels were straight, which boss? it's called Daikei boss.

    hope that helps.

I have the same issue, zenki car made before sept 1991 so I don't know where to find a hicas hub boss that fits properly.

Skyline hubs are a little hard to come by so your best bet is to get it from one of the sponsors here. Once in blue moon I'll come across one on Ebay but even used they aren't cheap. I have a universal R33 hicas hub and it might work on a zenki R32 because the hicas sensor is out by 60 degrees so your "top arrow" would have to be clocked 60 degrees or one bolt over.
