Hey guys. !

Just to let some of the GTA guys know well be doing cram the cruiser this year and i will be participating. Basically the goal is to get 40 skids of food to donate to the Mississauga Food Bank to feed hungry families this time of year so that everyone can have a good Christmas. This is a yearly initiative and the opp HSD port credit detachment is normally running it and is dedicated to there cause.

Description:
Our annual Cram the Cruiser food drive for The Mississauga Food Bank (http://themississaugafoodbank.org/) will occur November 14 - December 6, 2009.

Our goal is to surpass 40 skids of food (equal to more than 40 crammed cruisers) to provide food to those in need during the holiday season..

During this period, food donations may be dropped off at Detachment at 49 South Service Road, Mississauga. Or the donations can be dropped off at the specific Loblaw grocery store locations in Mississauga each weekend from 9am to 5pm.

With your assistance, we can fight hunger and feed hope!

Okay so now onto this sunday. We will be at 5970 McLaughlin Road
Mississauga. The closest major intersection is Brittania and mavis road. Closest highway is the 401 and Mavis and when you get off head south.

Now were also accepting cash donations at the location to help purchase more food in bulk for the mississauga food bank, from bulk food stores where the dollar can be stretched.

Items were looking for. Now there is only certain items you can donate because keep in mind there is a wait time before everything gets delivered so it must be non perishable, so it cant go bad.

These are the most needed items. as per there website

* Beans (Dry or canned)
* Boxed macaroni & cheese
* Canned fish and meat
* Canned fruit and vegetables
* Canned stew
* Dry pasta
* Juice (boxes or cans)
* Pasta sauce
* Peanut butter
* Rice
* Snacks (Think nutritious!)
* Soup (Dry or canned)
* Toiletries, personal hygiene products, cleaning supplies, and laundry detergent


So if your in the area or live in the area or want to come out, please do so. And come find me, let me know your from GTRC and get a high five. Get your picture taken with the cruisers. Meet some officers, we may have our big command center truck there which is awesome and has a lot of gadgets and tours will be given when needed!. So yeah come on out and support a great cause!.
