Western Canadian Drift Championship Series Round 1

Hey guys. Round 1 of the WCDCS is a go for Stratotech Raceway near Edmonton on June 30th.

Whether you want to drive or spectate, information can be found on www.d-sport.ca or www.driftwest.ca.

The driving level has come a long ways, if you want to see some real drifting, come on out and check it out.

The competition will be top 8 tandem.

Spectator admission is $15 and driver fee is $100.

If it wasnt so far past edmonton I would be all over this. I think the kids would love to watch some real drifing.

It's like half an hour NE of edmonton tops.

I know, but its 2.5 hours from my house to the bottom of edmonton. So 30 minutes to get around edmonton, and about 20 minutes to get to the track. That makes for a 3.5 hour drive one way. With young kids it makes it tough.

Are you guys coming through calgary with the event at all?

Pretty sure round 2 is in Calgary August 5, 2007. I watched it last year. It was pretty good. I will be there again this year. The tandom stuff was awesome!

If round 1 was on this side of edmonton I would really look at booting up there for it. I was looking for something to do this weekend anyway.

I guess I will have to just finish my basement instead :hit_head:

Too bad, stratotech is by far the best venue of the alberta ones. That facility is awesome, love driving there.
