Clutch effort?

Here goes, I'm seriously considering acquiring/importing a GTR however, I do have some concerns.

I've heard that the clutch on these beasts requires alot of effort. Is this true? I only ask because I've got a partially paralysed left leg, Mind in the past all my vehicles have been manuals either having cable or hydrolic clutches and I've never burnt one yet. I do remember having a hard time with the clutch in a 78-79 chevy monza that I learned to drive standard with way back when.

My sincere aplogies if I'm posting something that someone already answered but I've searched and couldn't seem to find anything.

Aftermarket clutches are usually the stiff ones, even so... the engagement point has usually been adjusted so you wont have to push it to the floor anyway.

I couldn't see it being TOO much of an issue, but I also don't know how severe your situation is.

Mine is a little stiff. I could compare it to an early 90's Mustang 5.0 clutch that it came with from the factory.

Or better yet come to a meet and find out or ask JZ for a test drive!

actually i thought the stock clutch was great... not too heavy. shift throws are a little long however.

the nismo twinplate is great! it's heavier as expected, but it's not the bear trap i thought it would be. it's noisy though... i also tried an hks twinplate and didn't like it at all... no matter what i did i couldn't do it smoothly. but the person who owned the car had no problems.

Thanks for the replies. I don't think it'll be an issue. I just use the arch of my left foot instead of the ball of my foot. Worse case scenario I could strengthen up the left leg with some excercise.

The stock clutch in mine is nice and firm, pretty heavy but nothing too crazy. It's the best feeling clutch I've ever driven.

The transmission is pretty amazing too, better than many brand new cars today 8)
