    R32 Information.

Hey guys, I'm saving up for a nissan skyline, and I am hoping to have one by the summer.

I myself love skylines period, and IT doesnt matter to me what model I get. I will probably get an 89 GTS-Type-M, because thers no way in hell I could afford a GTR.

But someone told me if i'm looking at a GTS dont bother, I just shook my head at them and said you dont understand.

Anyways, Can you guys give me some specs of the GTS-Type-M... How much hp does it have, what can IT do *** 0 - 60*** most importantly... what is it top speed.

Also the non turbo gts.. specs on that to, Any information would be much appreciated.

    Thanks guys.

Well I will asume you ment the GTS-T Type M there was a GTS Type S I belive. The Type M is 214 HP RB20DET turbo charged. What the type M gave you was the HICAS steering system plus a few other goodies like interior dress up. The Type M is what I am going for but dont be so quick as to buy the first one you see. The est price range (including being shipped, customs and such) is in the 7,500 - 11,000 dollar range.

The GTS- 4 - is all wheel drive like the GTR.
    The GTS-T - is a rwd turbo
The GTS - is a civic

    Hope that helps!

People tell you not to bother with the GTS because they have the RB20DE motor which is not turbocharged. It pushes around 155hp I beleive. And they sell for somewhat same price as the GTS-t which have 215hp.

Our own R32 GTS-T has compiled some specs on this subject - http://gtrcanada.com/JohnnyZ/Skyline...20page%201.jpg

(note that the GTS-4 is listed as having an RB25DE, this is what the R33 had not the R32 - the R32 had an RB20DET same as the GTS-t)

Also there is a good article on Autospeed about the GTS-t - http://www.autospeed.com/cms/A_0853/...popularArticle

Top speed I'm not sure of - to be honest I've never really checked it out as mine will be faster than stock in short order

Now the Type-M thing, I would be interested to know what the exact differences were between the Type-M and the garden variety GTS-t. HICAS, I didn't know about - maybe if a plain Jane one doesn't have it, maybe I should get a non-Type-M because I was going to get rid of the HICAS anyway. I believe the Type-M has an aero kit as well.

Calling a GTS a Civic is a bit harsh don't you think I think the GTS is an interesting option for someone who just wants a sporty, reliable commuter, and doesn't want to follow the herds in their Chevys and Hondas. Either that or you could swap in a firebreathing 330hp RB33DE with triple sidedraft Webers and a 150hp shot of nitrous and go GT-R hunting

Hey if you want just a straight GTS more power to you.

But i look at it this way, if you get a mustang why would you get a 4cyl or 6cyl?
If you get a camaro why buy the V6?
If your gonna get a skyline spend the extra 3-4K and get what it should be - a GTR.

ya the type m gives you hicas, the sport steering wheel, rear wing, some other dress up and I belive the 16X6.5 JJ rims with upgraded brakes. I think its more then the GTS-T that cam standard with 15X5/5.5 JJ rims but alot of stock GTS-T's I think have upgraded on their own to the 16X6.5 JJ wheels.

Thank you for all the information.

GTS-Type-M sounds like the real thing, one step under the GTR.
Although all that information was about the GTS-T, not the GTS-M
If the GTS t, can go 0 - 60 in around 7 seconds, Will the gts-M.. provide the same performance or will it be abit faster.
