    Up to that point, the r32 had no side intrusion door bars. With bars added to the door, you're far less likely to be killed in a side impact

    Ahh I see...50kg is a lot of weight, but better safe than sorry I suppose

    the 50kg comes more than from the doors only. The weight has been added to the rocker panel area for high rigidity. A typical later gen door weighs about 30kg, and I really doubt 25kg/door was added to the previous doors, as that'd mean previous gen's doors are 5kg each.
    My Ctrl button has the 'C' scratched off it.
