The guy turned into a little bitch when he found out he's getting arrested for being an ass. Pretending to act all tough... Maybe someone should've told him it's the real life and not the internet? Plus is wife grabbed a us customs agent (assualt) when her husband got arrested. WTF!! dumb. I don't why this douche bag gave the guard some lip. ****.. what store? He could've played cool and said not too sure the wife wants to go spend my money or some semi-relaxed reponsed.
What people forget is they have no rights at the US Boarder. NONE, ZERO. Failing to delcare something is also a criminal offense.
and i just sent off a resume/cover letter to the a boarder protection agency office.
So yeah... skylines won't get a hassle from me. unless you want to pull a cool one like that guy in the youtube vid.

I'm not too sure what this guy expected to gain by being an @$$ to this boarder gaurd. He was making a mockery of his job and his authority. I'm also surprised that any one is shocked by the repercussions to his actions. The amount of Canadians that don't believe that our police don't act in the same manor is unbelievable. I grew up in Scarborough Ontario, and spent a lot of time in down town Toronto, and learned VERY quickly that if you don't comply with police requests or give them attitude, you're gonna wind up in a whole lot of trouble, and its gonna cost you a ton of money and time to get out of it whether you're guilty or not. It sucks for the honest people of the world, but not everybody is honest, and the dishonest ones are usaualy very good liars, so the cops cant take the risk. Just look act the fiasco that ensued after the G20 summit in Toronto. My personal rule of thumb is to be cooperative and do what they say if you don't want to end up in jail.Originally posted by quadracer111 View PostBe careful how much you play with them...

Well I just got back from an adventure. A 5 hour shopping trip turned into 9 hours. First time bringing my GTR across the border. Been across many times before in other cars no hassle and nothing bad against my name in their system. And I gave them no crap the whole time.
I crossed at Hill Island (near Kingston). They took me out of the car, took the keys and sent me inside. I spent the next 3 hours being interrogated by 1 then 2 guys. Went to the back interrogation room about 5 times, asked a load of questions, many of them over and over. They basically outright accused me of wanting to go and import and sell it. Was threatened with arrest, threats to read me my rights etc... It was always fun to walk back and forth from the interrogation room as the guy had to keep his hand on my shoulder. I had some wicked looks from the crowd everytime I came back. Finally after 3 hours and a full search of the car they let me go.
Nice to be presumed guilty from the get go.
So was that it? Oh no. Coming back 3 hours later I was in a slow line for Canadian customs. As I pulled up beside the U.S. customs building I was waved back into their area. Three ICE agents had been waiting there for me since the moment I left (they told me so), waiting to see if I came back. Another 30 minutes of questions and a full search of the car and I was off.
Best part is everyone told me to expect the same everytime I cross the border as they are cracking down on illegally imported cars.
Thank god I'm a pretty smart guy and semi cool under pressure. The third time or so I was back in the interrogation room the guy claimed to have found a NY cell phone number and instructions to a meeting with someone in my car. I can see how someone could cave in to this type of pressure and make a slip or just admit to something.
I'm seriously thinking of going back next weekend. Now that I've been through this and know what to expect, I can play with them the next time
Oh, to top it all off? Crossed back into Canada, asked the customary 3 or 4 questions and sent on my way, even with a bunch of delcared goods.Last edited by Morphy; 07-23-2010, 10:02 PM.

is it illegal to drive across the boarder and sell it? i heard they can trace it back to you, but i also heard a LOT of people do that kind of stuff...Originally posted by PureEuroM3 View PostWhen I went in last year I had not a single issue. 3 guys aged 20 or so in a GTS-T! You got the shaft man maybe they noticed the crackdown on Canadian owners driving across and selling them.

We lump everything that`s outside of BC into the same catagory. Mostly because central Canada dosen`t really count and I forget it`s there.
There`s ``west coast`` which = Vancouver and ``east coast`` = anything past Manitoba

Three reasons why that is a terrible idea:Originally posted by starboy869 View PostI would have a kill switch installed. When the agent gets in the car..... nothing. somehow make it look like your battery died. hahaha
1. Customs officers dont have a sense of humor.
2. They will probably tow it away at your expense, not including the damage they do to your car.
3. They might start to disassemble your car to find whatever you are hiding leaving you standing next to a pile of parts.
