Florida is where most of the Skylines (and other JDM cars) are registered and titled in the States. I vaguely recall some Florida legislator saying that you can "put wheels on a couch, register it and drive on public highways in the state of Florida". I believe that most of the JDM's in Florida are "one state legal", since Florida really doesn't seem to care. You often see "illegal" cars in the united states being driven around with Florida plates in states that are, well... Not Florida.

Since State laws supercede federal for the most part, at least when it comes to vehicles, a few states are JDM "friendy" (as in they just don't care). Namely Florida and Arizona.

I'm fairly sure there was a ruling in the supreme court of Canada that determined that a completely bare chassis, nothing attached, just the chassis, is considered a part, and not a vehicle. As such, you can buy an absolutely bare chassis of an r34 and import it into Canada legally as a "part". I suspect you can then bring over all the parts and put it back together. Whether or not this is illegal or not, I'm not sure. Maybe they didn't clarify, so it's grey area?

So if I was on a race team them and got one of these cars in would I also have to sell it to someone that was also a racecar driver? This would be a way of getting around it if you knew someone with a race team and then just re-vin the car. Anyways I would still love to see some more pics of this car. Also does anyone have the link to farmers skyline for sale? Want to check that one out as well
