WTF is wrong with Toronto

I did take his badge number down and I did file a complaint but as we all know In canada, espicially in toronto, if your not white your not right. Lets leave it at that.

I would have called the police as daryl said, i would then have restrained him from touching your vehicle and waited for the real Police to arrive, explain to the real officer what just happened and ask to have him charged . You had enough witnesses present by the sound of it. He can ask you to remove the plates , he has no rights to do it spontaneously causing damage to your vehicle .

As far as i know , the only thing they have the power to do is give you a vehicle defect notice and demand you get an inspection. They are not mechanics and do NOT have authority to judge the road-worthyness of your car on the spot.

You got the short end of the stick on that one, it seems like that guy has it in for you. Did you have problems with him the last time you had to deal with him? On another note your cat does look like a cat delete from the outside, but all the same you got treated wrong an thats not right at all. Hope you fight this an get them to pay for the damages.

Sounds like they had a schmitty plan / probably had a previous look at your car and went after you. Did they say it was 'random' cause it sounds like they were profiling.

Just reading your rant pisses me off. Don't they need probable cause that you are polluting in order for them to look under the hood of the car? It's not like your car had smoke coming out of the exhaust, did it?

That's ******* ridiculous! If some asshat damaged my car in front of me they'd be writing me up for an assault charge cause I woulda boot ****** that ass in the head. This is completely out of line, I can't believe there are people out there doing this kind of thing to unsuspecting motorists. I'd be fighting this to the fullest extent and pressing charges against the idiot who damaged your car.
Sorry to rant but this kind of thing needs to be stopped. Hope everything turns out good.

I would have called the police right away when he started being stupid. There is nothing wrong with calling the police, telling them that you are dealing with a potentially volatile situation and asking for an officer to be present to intervene if necessary.
From your explanation that person's actions do not seem to be proper.
Was your car looking normal at this time? I've seen it with pieces falling off before, so that could be a reason that you were pulled over. If not, then this guy sounds like a douche bag.

You should have videotaped the episode with you cell phone so you would have proof of his ridiculous behavior, especially since you have had run ins with him before.
