Im pretty sure that the only DOT or E code stamping on the R34 Headlights is on the back of the housing, While thats great and all. that Doesnt impress the BC standards that require the Glass to be DOT or E coded..

Somewhere there is a pic of the stamp.

Just inspection time for me. JDM headlights have a much better cutoff than DOT lights, still dont see the point of changing them.

Those R34 prices are shocking knowing what they probably paid for them.
I have an 89 GTR, he, he, he....

Meh. I buy cars like these to enjoy the ownership, not because I view them as "good value", or an "asset".
                  oh hai!

Anyone that buys a car as an asset is in the wrong business.

I guess you must be right, after all is not like there's a lot of use car dealership. LMAO

Don't get me wrong I would love to keep my GTR, and keep buying other cars and fill a huge garage. But not every one has that kind of cash ( I don't ). If someone can give me what I want for it, I'll sell it. At the end of the day it's just a car, it can be replace. Doesn't make me any less an car enthusiast, it just mean I'm financially conscientious, and I'm not fixated on this car. I know there's other cars out there that I would like to own one day, and I also know I will never be able to afford all of them at the same time.

I didn't buy this car to make a profit, but if I can, who am I to argue.

There is a difference between a used dealership and people buying cars for personal use/collection. Dealerships buy cars cheaper from people who want to get rid of them quickly and resell them within a couple weeks to make a profit.

You can't buy a car, sell it in a few years and hope to make a profit. Unless you have a very specific collector's type car but that is fairly rare.

It's not like buying property for which you know the value will go up. For cars the value is always going down that's why for me it's not an "asset" to make profit out of.

Considering what I actually paid for my GTR and what I can/will get for it when I sell, I'll be ahead. Not by a lot mind you but I will be putting cash in my pocket. The only real way to make money at this is to buy low and sell high. By that I mean buy a rough car, fix it, and sell it. I understand most people don't have the time/money, but in my case that's how it's going to work out.

I picked up a rough GTR and replaced all the broken and worn out parts, basically restored the car to fully working condition, even the A/C! I work in the automotive industry as a technician, so labour was free and parts were cheap. Kinda like that show on Discovery called "Fast and Loud", same idea.

So I guess there is money to be made, if the circumstances are right. Don't get me wrong, I love my GTR and would love to keep it forever but if someone throws the right number at me I'll consider letting her go.

With out the GTR fenders and the wide rear, it still doesn't really look right, especially on the white one it is much more noticable that the lines on the fenders dont match the lines on the bumpers
