Speaker Wiring Color Help!

I am replacing all my interior speakers and I need to know what the wire colors mean. In the front there are a brown and red/black wire. Which is (+) and which is (-)?

Does it even matter?

Are the rears the same?

with speaker wires. + and - doesn't matter as long as its the same on both ends. So hook it up to speaker and if it works then your good. If it doesn't switch it around.

each corner will be a different color, I think front is white left and grey on the right. and its like purple and blue for the rear.. the "negative" wire is usually marked with black strip down the length of it. just always put the black stripe to the "-" side and you won't have any issue with orientation and it's easy to remember, but like ^^^^ guy above said. it really doesn't matter that much.

btw...you also won't get electrocuted by touching live speaker wires as long as you don't do it in water, or put them on your tongue lol
