Yeah im looking forward to it!, hope the weather is still decent. This car is supposed to be a sun only car lol but the exceptions must be made for trouble shooting.

i have a hiccup at idle and a misfire under minimal load (ie. just barely pressing the gas pedal to maintain cruising speed)
almost feels like the car is very very very lightly jerking / being held back.
Ive cleaned the mafs, checked the plugs and they look good except i didnt check the gap. i will have to do that this weekend.
My harness looks pretty weathered so im swapping for a good one this weekend to test, and im also testing another ignitor and brand new coils at the same time.

I am just really hoping its not fuel related! Im running fully tested and cleaned 660 denso's so i would hope it wouldnt be injectors and my fuel pump is a still fairly new 280 denso.
Although my injectors do click pretty loudly ive noticed....

Could it be my plugs? Maybe they are too cold of a heat range? 7's i believe. My car is tuned at 400rwhp though so i think the plugs are right.
and im pretty sure it shouldnt be the cas as from what ive read that would warrent a stalling / not starting issue.

Bah i guess we'll see this weekend, and if i dont find the problem then she goes to the shop.

You want the lowest resistance value for the coils, your in spec at .9ohms. As for the arcing you would more likely see a lighter (white-ish) colour or dead black. The likelihood is next to 0 to have arcing through the side of the coil. Do you have reason to suspect your coils are bad?

Well today i woke up and removed my coils one by one to inspect for any arcing. there are some areas on the coils that lead me to believe they have either been arcing or have arced in the past. in the pictures you can see heat discoloration which is what raises my questions

Having said that im not too sure what im looking for and what i found may be normal. please chime in.

i didnt get a pic of the first coil.

i dont think the order matters right now so here just a few pics i snapped of the coils. Some pics are of the same coils @ different angles

also, i wasnt sure what setting to set my multimeter to, so i tested them at 200ohms and 200mohm
and i got .9 across all 6 when set to 200m and it varried between 1.0-1.3 when set to 200
