I've seen it happen live at the track with an FC RX-7 we were all wondering WTF was happening. thankfully the driver wasn't harmed. the car was race preped and all.
it was an aftermarket Bully clutch

I've heard of that happening at the dragway before but never seen footage/photos. Thats brutal. Pretty scary, if that flywheel can go though the bell housing like that imagine how it would go though you.

LOL no... If i remember correctly he was racing a honda or something. I'm pretty sure it was determined that his flywheel was incorrectly machined/balanced or was not torqued correctly.
