The SSR Type C's I just picked up for the Silvia came fitted with these very fresh Toyo R888's. I dont have alot to say about them, only ran them on the street so far. Shall have their first outing on the track either at Fuji or Ebisu in the months to come.
Anyone on board have experience with them? Chime in please!
those are light!! not my kind of look (I like thicker spokes) but still very nice. Are they expensive if someone needed a set for track use (unlike TE37s or something) or are they expensive to replace (600+ each?)
Dan, we expect a full update and review of your choice! haha, which way have you sided?
Franc, Rota's are underrated imo. They're a good rim at a good price, and which is why they've received such a bad rap. More Rota's rolling around than high end volks, there will be more notable mentions of 'breaks' or failures. Obviously not statistically proven, lol, but 16lbs rims at that price are not easy to find..
It's a good thing you can't do track days.. You don't even have a Nur block to hold up to all that wear and tear.. LOL :P
Thanks for the input! Great to hear what's working for those doing the same sort of stuff as me.
Cheers!
Dan
