The SSR Type C's I just picked up for the Silvia came fitted with these very fresh Toyo R888's. I dont have alot to say about them, only ran them on the street so far. Shall have their first outing on the track either at Fuji or Ebisu in the months to come.

Anyone on board have experience with them? Chime in please!

they have been discontinued forever ago, so next to impossible to find another set now i better not wreck mine.. haha

they're in the same price range as the TE's

Charle's is the only other guy i know that had a set of these in the same size, but sold them awhile ago.

those are light!! not my kind of look (I like thicker spokes) but still very nice. Are they expensive if someone needed a set for track use (unlike TE37s or something) or are they expensive to replace (600+ each?)

edit; ah that's so gay, i knew they weren't real rota's for that price lol. Yea.. LM's are a good time..
Track, just get OEM gtr rims - cheaper tires!
My brakes won't even clean 18x10 CR kai's sooo I need something big and low offset lol. My rear brakes wouldn't clear oem rims.

Franc, Rota's are underrated imo. They're a good rim at a good price, and which is why they've received such a bad rap. More Rota's rolling around than high end volks, there will be more notable mentions of 'breaks' or failures. Obviously not statistically proven, lol, but 16lbs rims at that price are not easy to find..
It's a good thing you can't do track days.. You don't even have a Nur block to hold up to all that wear and tear.. LOL :P

    "Rota"

I wish I could do road courses, tracks or even events. Sadly, thats not realistic lol. Least I have shiny parts I guess lmao...

Edit: Marc, here's the "rota"s lol

    Limited JGTC LMGT4 18x9.5+12 with RE-01R 265/35R18

Just need to find some cheaper rims for track use. Was thinking some TEs if I find the right price. Doubt it, maybe stuck going real rota? lmao
