Hahahahahaha a blue bird havnt seen one of these in ages ! I bought one as soon as I moved to Australia for $1000 and it was absolutely mint ! I abused the absolute life out Tha car and it loved every second of it. Great car for a daily driver or commuter, very reliable and comfortable on the hwy. Great first car if you can find one under $3000

No, not really. More cars have a TMIC from factory than you'd think. The Celica GT-Fours all had them, the Pulsar has it, Mazda Milliennia's have it, and I can list a lot more yet too.

An air to air TMIC does lose a bit of efficiency due to engine heat, but an air to liquid TMIC retains most of it's cooling capability. It is also optimal for throttle response as the piping is almost half the length as a FMIC.

Not to mention a FMIC will also effect air flow to the radiator and A/C condenser, and in a daily driver, that will make a big difference.
