Hi guys, the time has come for me to part with my first car. I bought it in March of 2009 with 110,000kms from a family friend, who had never winter driven it to that point! I drove it for 3 years to the day, when I pulled its plates to swap to a newer civic. I would have loved to keep driving it but with me still being a kid, my parents insisted I get a car with air bags (I do a LOT of 2lane country road driving). with that being said, on to the specs.
1990 Honda Accord LX - Sedan in factory gunmetal grey with grey interior
-197,XXX kms, original motor unmolested
- automatic trans
- A/C
- Cruise control
- Base model other than that (hand-roll windows and door locks, no central/key fob)
- CD player 1000w sub in the trunk
- Undercoated and oil rust proofed every year at Krown
- CAR IS COMPLETELY RUST FREE
Recently replaced:
- Brand new OEM e-brake cable
- Brand new OEM catback exhaust FROM HONDA
- Firestone tires with 2 summers on them (roughly 40,000kms)
- All new pads and rotors
- Fluids changed every 7,000kms
Car started as an LX, which means both bumpers coming unpainted from the factory. I had them painted in 2010, then the front bumper replaced with brand new and painted in 2012.
The car has not given me any serious problems, and any minor issue that arose was very quickly taken care of (those who know me know I'm anal when it comes to keeping my cars clean and in top running shape). With you guys knowing what the CB7s can do, this car still has quite the life ahead of it. I feel confident in saying, based on comments made my TAC members (I'm mainly a Nissan R chassis guy, dont know too much about Hondas), that this is arguably the cleanest CB7 in the province.
