  • need some advice on a paint job that was done on my car

    hello,

i would just like to get some opinions / options what to do with my car that just got the bumper painted. i would like to state that i have documented every phone call that i have made.

there are two places involved ... i will refer to them as company A and company B.

i took my car in to get undercoated as it is winter time and its a summer car. i agree it does sit low to the ground but honestly not that low. so 10 min later they come back and tell me they can't do the job. the reason why is because company A has a drive on hoist and it sits too low. so i go around to the back of the shop and pick up my car. but before i get in the car i notice strands of fiberglass hanging on my front bumper. turns out the guy tried to drive it on the hoist and he made a mess of my aftermarket front bumper. there was a big indentation and fiberglass strands hanging off my car. it was really bad on the one side because he actually drove it into some big nuts and bolts that were holding the hoist together. they were gonna let me go without even telling me. so after we get talking they said they would fix it and setup all the appointments and everything. so i leave the shop and get a call 20min later with an appointment at a body shop. everything is good right now. i brought the car to company B and he inspected it and made an appointment for it to be fixed and confirmed that company A will be paying for it. so i brought the are to company B to be fixed. well i get a call today saying that it was all fixed up and i could pick up my car. they weren't at the shop today so they were going to leave my key somewhere and i would pick it up. well i picked up the key and left the car. the paint is absolutely horrible. like i mean horrible... a blind man could tell that my paint was terrible. first off my car is pearl white. here is a list that is wrong

    1. the paint is cracked (you can feel it) ... spiderwebbing all over the front bumper.
    2. there is no fleck in the pearl paint.
    3. there is no clear over top
    4. its the wrong white ... my pearl white is like an off white (yellow tinge) ... well they painted it matte white.

so my question is who do i approach first. company A or company B?

should i give company B a chance to fix it or get another company to paint it for me (the one that had done it a year and a half ago)?

this is my first incident with something like this and i just dont know wat to do.

the paint is company bs fault so i would explain the bumper to company b and tell them its terrible and say you are taking it to the company that did it a year and a half ago and tell company a what happened and say you are just gonna take it to the other company

Was it expensive? something that size (the bumper only and labour) in town here would cost about $1200 to paint lmao. Then again, you're get good quality...

um... didnt cost me a penny ... company A damaged it so they are paying for it. but company B is a friend of company A. This is why i would like to get company C (the people who did the paint 1.5years ago to do it)

just go in and show company A what a brutal job Company B did, ask them why they associate themselves with such garbage work, and then tell them you'll be going to company C via there account!

No asking involved, you tell them what will be done. just be confident. if you have to shell a penny out for this than your getting ****** hard!
