if you want something that looks like an AK just get a CZ858, non restricted, lighter and more accurate than an sks, and looks like a BAMF.
Ya he got the tapco one, I think it looks way better than the original wood or other stock kits around here. That CZ858 is sick though.

I'm not sure where Canadia is but whatever hours you've worked outside the province where you were indentured is worthless to the program, unless you're able to fool someone. As for red seals outside canada, I didn't know about the mechanical... I was only sure about compulsive trades like Electrical, welding, pipe fitting

Braden, you got you're ticket? congrats! welcome to the league of Legends

We Red seal techs are world class tradesmen.

To work as a Jman in in a different province then where you were ticketed requires a red seal, otherwise, you need to write the Jman exams for the new province. This applies to all provinces except for Quebec. That is the ONLY place that will not accept a red seal ticket that is not from Quebec. My Alberta red seal can get me working as a Jman anywhere in the world, except for there, which is wild lol.

Anyways, you have technical training or just lots or years in a shop? To move through an apprenticeship in Canada (a certified aprenticeship that is), you need 3 things to move up: Hours, Technical training for the completing year and be past the anniversary date. I have a family member that works for the the government in the trades branch so if you have serious questions, I can ask. Trades nearly rule in some parts of canada due to low supply and high demand.
Franc is right your schooling cannot transfer to Canada. It is not recognized here what so ever.

Franc you did mention the red seal is approved anywhere in the world, but that isnt true at least not for mechanics. We cannot actually work in the U.S. surprisingly and there is other countries on that list. The Red Seal is among the highest regarded trainings in the world and they are working towards changing that but as of December 15th when i wrote my appentice exam the ruling had not changed

Got a 2011 Murano as an early present, Sony 55" LED TV (so I can put the 37" in the garage lol), Rebel T1i camera, lots of baby gear, a badass water meth kit (waiting on invoice), OS giken rear diff and some other small bits. We didn't really do much this year as we needed to save for the baby and the loss of my wife income next month for the next 5 years. Lots of family came though.
