  • 2004 Acura TL or Infinity G35x

I keep the GTR but as a daily driver... Both 2004 or 2005, both around 10k ish.

Acura TL: I prefer the look and the interior is a lot more classy. Cons: it's FWD

G35x: Doesn't look as good as a coupe, interior look very boring and fade. Come with ATTESA!!! ( I feel the skyline love right here), it's a RWD just like the GTR, alot more support for aftermarket mod..(stilll a daily lol)

Both engine are 270 hp. should perform pretty much the same.

Have you drove both? can you still powerslide the G35x ? I guess the TL will be a quieter ride? more luxury than infinity.

    Your input are welcome!

P.S: I also thought about the S4 but in the 10k budget, they are mostly 2000 and beat up motor so repair will be too expensive for a secondary car)

Tl is just such a smooth ride especially when you put your foot down.
And ypu sure can powerslide the G (though the one I was in was slamed)

I personally would go with the tl versus the g35 sedan. tl is a little more high class and parts will be cheaper being a honda

I think type S is 2003.. when 3rd gen came in in 2004, it stopped.

I have driven both. I would take a g35x because it is nicer to drive than TL. The fm platform is a lot more balanced than the Acura. Pick up a 05+ g35x because the horsepower is 280hp instead of 260hp and the interior is Updated which is a lot nicer than 03-04. Also the AT transmission has the rev matching down shift feature which makes driving a slash box a lot more exciting. AWD also makes the car a lot easier to drive in the winter. Infiniti parts shares the same part number as nissan are the same price as Nissan. I don't think the running cost would be too much. I can even power slide with my fx35 so you should have no problem doing it with g35x. If you want more pimp looking car. Go with the Acura. If you want a better performance machine. Go with Infiniti.

I've driven both. It was a G37 that got me out of bikes and back into cars.
                  +1 for the G35.

G35 all the way. I'm biased though... I own a 350z and only drove a TL once - in a parking lot lol.

I think you're right too about AWD...

Would go with the G35 also: Better looking and performance! Don't know about the interior tho...
