Power goal is anywhere handy to 500whp after this winter (more parts coming). I figure it will a struggle.

Engine management and fuel delivery is going to be redone this winter as well along with a few other things. I had bought nistune to replace the chiped ECU and larger injectors with new FPR.

      Start Up video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syHL..._order&list=UL

Last dyno session before storage. A bit shy of my 500whp goal.
Current set up posted below. Input needed.

      Dyno Video - www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kb-pw7gRLzQ
      400whp 310tq

      Setup

      Quality 89 octane pump gas
750cc injectors, Stock rail, Tomei fuel pump
trust front mount, hard pipes, blitz bov
      300zx maf's, apexi suction kit.
      19psi on gt28's
Apexi GT spec down pipes, apexi cat back, no cat.
Tomei type b pon cams, no gears.
      11.2-11.7 AFR
      AEM 50/50 water/meth kit
Timing pulled down to 17 degrees at 5500-7000
      self tuned with nistune

      Problems.

Lean out at 7000rpm. Fuel pressure starts to drop at 6800 between the rail and the filter.
New rail, lines, or larger pump?

Nistune is not ideal with no knock maps or knock detection and no access to start up tables. Hard to tune partial timing.

      Haltech or AEM ems?

Besides poor fuel, what limiting factors am I missing.
I hear to often that 500whp is "easy" with a rb26. Everyone you talk to seems to know someone with one thats makes this power.

Nice looking sleeper! Barely tell it's got mods done, great work.

Didn't get Akita if power for 19psi, must be the low octane fuel?

Doesnt Nistune have 'Fuel Map' and 'Knock Fuel Map'?

            From Nistune manual:

If you find that your changes in the maps don’t seem to be having any effect then check that the ECU
hasn’t jumped to the knock maps. This is easy to check by selecting the IGN timing maps and then display
the Gauges panel. Note the values being accessed in the maps (don’t forget - the ECU averages across 4
cells) and check that they correspond with the IGN timing value reported in the Gauges panel.

Thanks, I know fuel is a large factor when it comes to power.

Nistune does have the knock maps but I have never been able to get nistune to go to them even when detonation was audible.
I was told that the version for the rb26 didn't support knock detection. So because the knock count remains at 0. The ecu will never try and go to the knock map. Knock maps are turned on but they are never accessed.
It's kind of useless to tune ignition. I used old school methods. Just keep adding timing until tq reaches peak then back off a few degrees and pull spark plugs note the changes on the electrode. Not the best way but it works for WOT just a bit more trickey with transition area and part throttle.

Fuel on nistune does respond. I can add 20% more fuel threw MAF translation map with target AFR in fuel map set to 11.5 and still it leans out even though I can see the injector duty cycle increase.

I will post up fuel and igniton maps. If someone can pick up on something off please point it out.

Fuel- very top right was done on fuel map not MAF translation to stop from leaning out.

                  Time for a Change

Well I thought about what I didn't like about my current set-up and I decided everything is just OK, but not exactly the way I want it.

So time to revisit: Engine,Suspension, and Interior.
Engine: wasn't efficient. Nistune has limitations, more response needed, and too much blow-by oil in charge piping.

                  So to start.
