It's all in the math. 4.5 + 0.4 = 4.9 = WIN.Originally posted by Marus92 View PostI wasn't crazy after all

I'll put in 5 liters for daily driving and add an extra liter for track use. It's a common practice and although it reads a bit high on the dip stick the pan on the RB26 is designed in such a way that you don't get any splashing from the crank.
I've been using Amsoil up until now (and have been very happy with it) but now get a VERY good deal through my sponsor on Royal Purple. I haven't run it on the track yet but so far notice no difference.
Also for some EXCELLENT oil education check out this link. I've referred to it several times.

As per service manual, oil pan capacity is 4.5 and the oil filter capacity is 0.4.
Since the stock pan doesn't contain baffles, people usually put a bit more oil in to prevent oil starvation if you are driving it like you stole it (track). As long as it doesn't get wiped to create bubbles you're fine.
I know this is basic, but when doing an oil change dont forget to run the car a bit, then retop it off, since it needs to run to fill everything back up after a drain.

Pay is above 55/hr for a ticketed tradesmen but their general views and employee treatment is not cool... They're cheap in the long run so I imagine their oil also sees corners cut.Originally posted by Wedge View PostProbably the pay is good but im wondering why you dont use their oil.
