  • vibrating issue?

Okay I've got one for you guys,

Ever since installing my new engine, I get a vibration in the seat when accelerating between 2300-3500 rpm or de-accellerating ONLY when in 5th gear. The vibration is similiar to that of a drive shaft vibration.

I didn't do any bushing work, however when I had the tranny cross member out i removed the rubber bushings to paint it then re installed them.

I pressure washed the trans and replaced the clutch when it was out. I didn't drain the trans fluid it was new prior to removal, I did change the front diff fluid with a lighter gear oil from the heavy shockproof that was used prior to removal.

    Any ideas?
    Cheers!

clutch maybe , if its engine rpm related its something to do with it.

pull it and check the clutch install

Ack didnt see the 5 gear part , probably harmonic vibration fromt he driveshaft , did you mark them and reinstall them the same way ? , if not, remove them and go get them balanced if there are no prior markings .

I did not mark them, dam! Maybe I'll check for marks or have it balanced. Where to get a drive shaft balanced?

check the driveshaft yokes , bearing housings and see if they are marked from factory , they probably are ..

If not google it in your area.
