Hey everyone, I have recently changed all the fluids in my r34 GTR and after lots of research I would like to share what I used, there is lots of info out there for the r32 but very little info about the r34 and some of it is wrong. Let's begin.
Engine oil: Royal Purple 10w40 or Motul 8100 5w40
6 Speed Getrag Transmission: V160 fluid from Toyota 1.8L ($90 a litre) has to be filled from the fill plug located on the passenger side, drain plug is at the bottom. Other Gtr/Supra owners have used Castrol Transmax Z and Motul gear 300 75w90 with success. Stay away from redline which causes the seals to swell. The transmission in the r32/33 takes 4.2L I believe which is not correct for the Getrag.
Transfer case: Nissan recommends to use Nissan Matic D 1.8L aswell but the local dealership didn't carry any so I ended up using Royal Purple Max ATF which is recommend as a direct replacement fluid also it's fully synthetic. Everywhere else you look online for transfer case fluid for the r34 Gtr they recommend Castrol Transmax Z. I couldn't find any locally so went for the royal purple instead.
Front Diff: Motul gear oil 80w90 1L
Vspec Rear Active LSD: Motul 90PA 2L
So far I haven't gotten to change the Atessa AWD fluid but when I do I will update the thread.
