Well it doesnt sound like its leaking, so just pull it out and flush it. Probably have 20 years of crap pluggin it up. They say that a candle can produce enough heat to keep you alive if youre stranded in your car. I dunno if you wanna drive around with a lit candle but it will work. I know that incandescent light bulbs produce about 95% heat and only 5% light.

How do i flush my heater core out? Do you mean flush my cooling system?
It would nice to get my heater working only because it will help with defrost and stuff too.
that aircon valve behind the stereo, i was manually working that. I could feel it changing. But because there was no coolant running through the core it didn't matter.
I think that little valve is ok. I just need to get coolant through my heatercore. I don't feel like taking my whole dash apartsigpic

Hi All, Well I am sure all of us have experienced the wet coolant leak appearing on the passenger side floor? If you haven't yet, well I am sure you will soon enough as these heater cores have a tendency to rust out and leak, it happened to me a few weeks ago! There are many posts of the heater c...
I know from looking for an easy way to my firewall that the ducting behind the glove box is a c**t to get out, but it can be done.Regards,
Ken.

Okay. So thinking back now. I don't think the climate control was moving that actuator behind the radio. Although my dad was moving it by hand, maybe he never had it open enough to let heat through? I don't think the climate control was moving the little arm by itself. So i think im going to have to go back in my skyline and move that arm by hand, and pay a little more attention to what is going on. Cause i doubt the heater core is blockedsigpic

ok. so today i am going to Flush my heater core. Im going to disconnect the heater hoses and just run water through and hope it clears it out. Can i use like CLR to help with it (the plumbing line cleaner).
Different problem: That little thing behind the dash (aircon). The little rod doesn't move AT ALL. When i switch from anything on the air controls, from heat to ac, manual to auto. It doesn't move at all. I cant even move it by hand. Its solid. Is this a whole new problem or could it be linked?
Also. What is the fast heat function? i don't recall seeing anything like that.
And that in car temperature sensor isn't plugged in on my car, i can't find the plug in. That shouldn't make a difference right?sigpic

When you have the temp set to 32 and hold the heat up button down after about 10 seconds the display should change the "FH". like i said i don't know specifically what it does but it did help blow warm air faster on a few colder days (-10 and slightly below)Rusty 240sx 1JZ project.
