    Pantafole


    The main themes for the "Pantofole" was ride comfort and performance during cornering.
    The data collected by Yasu Toba for 15 years was used for tuning.
    The blue color is based on the ocean.
    The 15 way adjustable dampening shocks allow the user to run the circuit, while cruise comfortably on the street. We suggest even a luxurious ride.

    Shock Absorber
    Using a single chamber type shock absorber, inverted 38φ and upright 44φ large capacity pistons were made possible.
    Along with larger oil capacity, we can promise even dampening force at high temperatures.
    For strut type suspensions we use inverted ram shock, and upright for wish bone type suspension.
    The screw part of the shock has a anti-corrosive coating, which prevents not being able to adjust your suspension after setting for long periods of time.

    Dampening philosophy
    Extensive research in dampening force has allowed the development of a shock that can be used in a range of applications from the circuit to the street.
    This claim/promise is often made, but rarely kept.
    We opted for the 15 way adjustable.

    High rigidity duralumin used for lock sheet & lower sheet.
    With strength under high load and 2mm per one rotation adjustment, we guarentee accurate pre-load adjustment.

    Adjustable Bracket
    High rigidity Steel used

    Spring
    By using durable spring material and make, we avoid discrepancies in spring rate under long periods of use.

    Overhaul
    Overhaul possible. Since the shock will be replaced, the former dampening performance can be gained. We can tune dampening force to personal preferences at this time also.

    Upper mount
    Front and Back will be pillow mounted. The mount itself will have a thickness of 1cm, which ensures rigidity (strut type has camber adjustment).

    Adjustability
    The length of adjustability allows users to change ride height without sacrafising spring rate, or stroke. Also by tuning the preload, users can adjust the over/under steering settings in detail.

    The reinforced rubber upper mounts allow both a direct handling feel and comfort (some vehicles are pillow mount).


    The main differences between a single tube and twin tube strut



    The most notable difference is the number if tubes.
    Single tube has a separate space for oil and gas, divided by the free piston.
    Twin tube does not have this separation.

    Benefits
    Single tube
    There is a larger margin of oil capacity and space for a larger piston valve size.
    This allows the slightest of dampening force to be applied while availability of dampening to be stable.
    The structure permits a wide range of installation angle freedom.
    No airlation can occur as the oil chamber and gas chamber are separated.

    Twin tube
    Structuraly, more stroke can be secured easily.
    Compared to single tube, the gas is lower pressure, hence more comfortable.
    The shell case and inside cylinder is separate, so casing can be damaged without affecting the dampening.

    Demerits
    Single tube
    Structurally, since the oil and gas chamber are paralel, the stroke is harder to secure.
    High pressure gas must be used, therefore the ride can be rough, and there is more friction.
    Any damage to the casing will affect the dampening.

    Twin tube
    Structurally, it is harder to secure oil capacity. The piston valve cannot be made bigger.
    There are limits to the angles of instalation.
    Since there is no divide between the oil and gas, over time there is risk of airlation.
