R32 vs R33 vs R34 vs V35 vs STi vs Evo video...

Making a new topic...just to gain some new momentum

this includes the first 3 chapters from BMI Vol 10 Skyline GT-R: The Prodigy

Size 233MB encoded in divx 5.2 using a 'slight' smoothing filter (to remove some noise) and de-interlacing filter.

    ~23min

The video has some history on the GTR, some speculations on what the next GTR/platform and comments on what the BMI drivers want from it (and it also features 2 really cool 350Zs )

To me it looks better than when watching off the DVD because the DVD had alot of bad frame flags (this is pretty common in all region DVDs though) and interlacing issues (even with progressive scan on)

THIS LINK IS OVER SATURATED AND IS VERY SLOW

JZ will have a mirror for the GTRC guys up soon

Yeah well, it came straight off a used car lot so it certainly didn`t benefit from any prep whatsoever, and it was driven by what was described as "an enthusiast". The fact that the oil temp was climbing couldn`t have been good either. With less mileage on them, the R33 and R34 probably felt a little tighter on the track too, I mean, it got schooled by a G35!!!!!

all the cars are pretty much bone stock...and all the drivers are BMI drivers so they should be fairly equal in terms of skill...

I mean it IS to be expected right?

The R33 is faster than the R32, the R34 is faster than the R33, and the Evo and STi can keep up with the R34...they had better laptimes than the R34 acctually...if the race went on for 1 or 2 more laps, the Evo and STi might of surpassed the R34...

With the rate techology goes...newer cars in the same class will be faster than older cars...cars get lighter, stiffer chassis, are better engeneered, more aerodynamic, etc etc

I honestly think the R32 did well concidering it is the FIRST generation GTR with the RB26DETT and ATTESA-ETS...

Even with all of them brand new right off the lot, with the same driver, I think we could expect the same result. (maybe the V35 and the R32 changing positions...MAYBE...)

I did like the light weight 350Z though that looks like a FUN car to drive

Does anyone want the Touge showdown off the DVD? If you guys want I can rip and encode that as well

    That was a great clip!
Thanks to Daemos for the rip and the torrent file.

If that video did anything for me it was just making me want a 350z more and more... you can pick one up for about the cost of a GTR pretty soon.

The Touge showdown would be nice to see if it has similar content to the first part of the video. Keep up the great work Daemos
