    Importing yourself

How many people have imported thier own cars from japan?
If you have how much of a hassle is it to register it and everything else you have to do to get it road worthy?
what are good japan dealers to buy from(websites)

get a customs broker and they do all the paper work for you.
then registering and insuring is the same as if you bought one through an importer in canada.

if you wish to do it the hard way there was a guide to doing it without a customs broker.

easy peasy. I bought my car from feast, he put it in a container and I let a customs broker do the rest. All I had to do was drive it home from the warehouse.

I paid half what I would have, if I bought a car from TSS or something else local.

You can ONLY do it without a customs broker if you had it shipped roll-on roll-off. But it was worth the 300 bucks I paid. They do EVERYTHING... soil test, transport of the container, food inspection thing, customs... worth it imo

Did everything myself. You dont need a broker. Common people dont be lazy and dont throw your money away.

personally, I'd buy a car thats already landed. You will probably save more money that way, and there is a great variety of cars. Importers like JDM Imports have some great cars in stock that are already landed.

Even if an exporter tells you "exactly" what you are getting, we all know of incidents where truths were bent. Because of that I'd personally want to see the car before I buy it,

Bought my car for 4000 shipped, registered, on the road(Seriously) and it was in perfect condition. Now an importer has 1 for 8-12:shock: . Mine had all the crap that I needed and it was in Great condition. But a friend of mine got one already here for 5000 so if your lucky and a deal comes along get it.
