    intake piping removal

I am trying to get the last piece of piping off my car and it looks like its seized on. Or someone used glue or something to seal it on. The hose clamps are loose but the damn thing wont come off. has anyone else had this problem?

I got the "ceramic turbo" peice off and the piece causing problems is the one that connects to that. The cold pipe.

I am trying to get down to my turbo to install a boost controller and I need them out of the way... oh and I dont want to have to replace any couplings because an FMIC is on the list for the near future and it would be a waste.

if its a seized coupler you are talking about, try to pry a small opening and shoot some wd40 in there, should break free if you do that and try to wiggle/twist the coupler after.

the hose clamps are all loose. Its like the black silicone like stuff that is seized onto the metal piping.

If you can't get it off without wd40 then you will have to cut it

that happened to all of my ic piping
i think it just hasnt been removed in 15 years.. so its all fused on there
just take a flat screwdriver and pry it loose all the way around then pull and wiggle it as hard as you can till your arm falls off

if you're doing it in cold weather that wont help any. i took of my pipe that is near the cam cover today, and used a heat gun to warm it up a bit. it seemed to help.

its all good... finally got it off. Goo gone plus a little knife action did the trick. Looking at it, seems that it was sealed with glue. Gonna go do some sand blasting tommorow on a few parts.
