    Engine rebuild?

Well earlier this year I blew my rear turbo and unfortunatly it took down compression on my two rear cylinders. What should I be looking to pay for a full rebuild? Forged pistons, forged rods, new oil pump, new cams ...

Do any guys in Alberta recommend any shops? I got the turbos replaced at light speed but they are pretty pricey?

You didn't lose compression in two cylinders because you blew your turbo.

I spent about 2500 on parts for my rebuild. You don't need forged rods, keep the stock ones with some ARP/Tomei rod bolts.

Do it yourself, take it to lightspeed, or take it to Z-tune in Vancouver. They may be pricey, and Z-tune may be far away, but you pay to have the job done properly.

    Why not forged rods?

tokes thinks that the stock rods are strong enough for your application. I think if you are going to build the other parts of the engine, spending an extra $600 on rods is worth it to have a fully built engine

Did you find another place to do it? That is what Cam at lightspeed was saying the average rebuild would cost.

10K is a fair price to have a motor built and installed with forged goodies, if it has an expensive nismo oil pump and a new R33 crank.
