Traveling to Canada this weekend from Rochester, NY...

    Hey Guys,

I'm in Rochester, NY for the next two weeks on vacation....

This weekend I plan on making a 3 day trip into Canada and would love to get some advice, maybe even meet a few of you along the way...

I think the first stop is Niagara Falls (probably mispelled) and then from there, who knows...

Any suggestions for the trip would be appreciated...

Hey Chris, we spoke for a while when you were looking at my car on E-bay (don't know if you remember).

If you're in Toronto let me know I'll try to get some people out for another mini-meet.

depends what you want to do really. if you are staying at the falls i really recommed the embassy, great place.

Then your best bet would be either Toronto or around there. Lots to do there and not to far of a drive from where you are. Im sure you will be able to check out a few cars where ever you go
If you still have complete control of your car you are not going fast enough!

Are you taking the Ferry or are you driving around through Niagara?

I'm picking up a rental car on Friday around 5 P.M. and then heading to Toronto...(I have at least got the city narrowed down.)

We will be taking the fairy if possible..If they are already closed for the night, then we will just drive in to Toronto..

This is my first time to Toronto, and only my second trip to Canada so I'm psyched...

I hope to get to meet a few of you....!!!

P.S.- Can anybody give me an idea on a place to stay?

What hotels are in the area? hostels? etc?

    Hostels?!

    Riggs, whats your budget?

I was just in Toronto last weekend and we had a mini meet (see eastern region forum). Would have been cool to meet you.

Since I am originally a Torontonian and stay at hotels there every month still, I can probbaly suggest something for you. Where are you planning on staying? Downtown?

Hostels= the European coming out in me....I was an exchange student to Italy in college and stayed at hostels all over Europe...

I'm flying my wife up on Friday, and she will be coming with me...

We are trying to go fairly cheap since I'm sure it's gonna be kind of expensive with ferry's, hotels, food, entertainment, her airfare, rental car, etc...

I'm trying to figure out this ferry thing...

Would it be cheaper to take the Ferry to Canada and rent a car in Canada? and then just drop the car off and take a taxi back to the Ferry coming back to NY?
