We are proud to announce the release of our AMS INC. Carbon-Ceramic Brake Pads for the R35/GTR. These complement our existing line of AMS Carbon-Ceramic Pads for vehicles such as the 300ZX,350Z,370Z,996T etc.

    Features:

    • Proprietary Carbon-Ceramic formulation designed for use with our AMS R35 Max-Slot Rotors and street use! Minimal damage to rotors unlike track designated pads which will wear rotors quickly!
    • High coefficient of friction
    • High resistance to wear at extreme temperatures
    • More bite and shorter braking distances
    • Integrated shim for maximum performance and quiet operation
    • Low dust levels
    • Exceeds OEM specifications for stopping, noise, and wear!
    • Extended rotor life!
    • Slotted and chamferred
    • ISO & TUV Certified
    • Perfect in conjunction with AMS Max-Slot rotors!

*These are a max-performance street pad designed for use with OEM and our AMS Max-Slot Rotors and not recommended for track use. Using track pads will accelerate the wear in rotors considerably.

I can confirm that these pads feel great on the street. Great initial bite, lot's of stopping power, and good feel.

Where would these line up against Hawk Street-performance pads ? Between the HPS, HP Plus and the Ceramic Hawks ?
What would they be most compareable to, performance-wise ? They seem to be priced aggressively and fair, so that's a bonus.

I guess to ask my question in even simpler terms: What other brake pads would I initially be looking at buying, that would get beat out and make my final decision the AMS Carbon-Ceramics ?

Ceramic Hawks would be the closest in comparison due to the composition used. When choosing pads you must consider the end use. These are a max-performing street pad that will not damage rotors. Alot of other pads that have a 'Track' designated compound will wear rotors quickly which will hurt the pocket-book. Nissans have always had a reputation of eating rotors and the R35 continues this trend due to it's hefty weight. Rotors are alot pricier to replace than pads! These are designed to complement our AMS Max-Slot Rotors for the R35 and are compatible with the OEM rotors etc.

Compared to stock these pads are a bargain as Nissan is raping people! OEM fronts and rear will cost you $2000 CDN - ouch! Then again the entire brake job will set you back about $7000 at a Nissan dealer! For the price of just OEM pads we can offer our full 2-PC AMS Max-Slot rotors and Pads for less!

Have you guys given up on the 'Z' thing now, with the AMS-Motorsports moniker, rather than AMS-Z ?

Any plans to add 370Z Sport 2-pc 355mm front and 350mm rear rotors to your collection for Akebono/Sport brake owners ?

    Not at all

We've expanded and have two divisions:

    NISSAN/INFINTI and the PRESTIGE/LUXURY division.

amszstore will link up with the Nissan Infiniti Line.

We will be adding parts for the 350Z/370Z market steadily over the next couple years similar to what we offer for the Z32 realm.
