has anyone installed their plate offset from center for airflow purposes ???
seems to make sense to mount on right side (for skylines) to allow better airflow to intake...
and where to get such a thing ??

i love alberta rear plates only. im pretty sure they are just custom mounting bracket shouldnt be that hard to create one i havent seen a kit
i found old aluminum L brackets from back in the day for intakes...just go to homedepot or cdntire for two L brackets and use a wide selftap screws that went on the bumper...then ur 10mm nut and bolt for the plate

I used a single piece of 1/2"x1/8" -ish steel strapping. Found a couple unused holes in the framerail area and avoided putting holes in the bumper by routing the bar through an air inlet with creative bending.
Food for thought.
I really wanted to do this as well but my oil cooler is located on the right. fml

Me too, I'm not going to bother relocating the plate. I'll just remove it when I really need to maximize my intercooling. Just carry a nut driver around with you, takes all of 30 seconds.
If a cop wants to be an a$$hole he could tell you that the plate mounted on the right and pointed away from oncoming traffic is in some way tring to hide it from law enforcement. Just another thing he (bitch) could pic on in a traffic stop/roadblock. Mounting the plate like that can also give you an advantage in avoiding Lazer radar, some cops might know that.

Two days ago I saw a vehicle that would haul that tanker....you wanna get out of here......you talk to me.:The Road Warrior
Rides:
1990 GTR Drag Special T88H34D 11.24 @ 127.55mph at 1.2bar (strip) 10.67 at 134mph at 1.4 bar (G-Tech street)
2011 Silverado Crew tow rig.
1993 Nissan March A# with only 36,000km.
I've thought about relocating to the right side. I even have fog light holes in my bumper that would be perfect mounting holes. What do you hide the holes in the center with? they are squares with threads in the middle, about 1" by 1" and would look bad if left untouched. I was thinking of a novelty plate like this thats skinny.
I would never put a GTR badge on a GTS, I'd make the plate relevant to my car.
89 Nissan Skyline GTS-t sports limited sedan
4 door love.
on a side note : I was thinking about trimming the top and bottom of my plate so when mounted in the stock center location it would not cause any aerodynamic obstructions for the intercooler/rad.
Does anyone know of any legal ramifications that would come up by doing this fantastic MOD..???
thx
