Posted in eastern but any info is good info

    Any help please!
Western boy buying an eastern car.

Apparently in Quebec you didnt need to get a new vin for skylines, so im buying one from Quebec and im getting a little bit nervous.

Is there any way of checking for liens on skylines in Quebec? weather it be in person or online?

I am travelling there this weekend to buy one and before i hand over the funds i would like piece of mind in writing that there are no liens or claims.

Here in BC all you do is call BCAA and they will give you all the info needed, but here in bc MOST skylines have been re-assigned a new VIN so all the data bases are on the same level, in Quebec it seems to me that skylines didn't need to be re-assigned vins and because of that i cant use any normal services like Qc Caa.

    Any help is great!

I think the vin # reassigning was only done for a few years. I've owned two skylines since 2007 and both have kept the same VIN, icbc just overrides the system limits to accept the longer vin #. There should be a government run facility that can take care of what you are in search for in Quebec.

Since 2007 you havent had to get a new VIN here..

Its optional.. you can pay the extra money if you REALLY want to..

    but why bother..
