Make sure you check that stuff like the timing belt etc... has been done.

Compression check is a must, also if you can take a mechanically inclined friend with you to take a look that would be a good idea as well

I'm a aircraft mechanic, started out in cars tho! What should I pay attention to with skylines/rb's? I know my way around a car and have a good knowledge of how stuff works/operates.

What should be my first question about the car? The comp/ timing belt etc?

Open radiator cap and check for sludge as well. Also check under the oil cap.

Went to Japan Power to look at a R32 GTR and was told it didnt have anything wrong with it and that it was great and so on but "couldn't start it". Came home did some research and turns out the car Smoked like a bitch. Also heard some negatives from fellow members on the forum, but that S2 looks nice, just do a very detailed check.

What's "series 2" mean? Is it like a second gen R33?

Also, Is it possible to get a fellow GTRC member to look at it for me? I live in Newfoundland, an I don't really have the funds to fly up just to have a look. I have a friend of mine who hauls cars, so I would get him to pic it up.

    Thanks guys!
