Question Skyline GTS-T 89 conversion to Skyline GTR-34

    Hi everyone,

Just as you, i'm a skyline fan. However, i'm just starting in my mechanic learning so this is why I post this thread. I want tips, not bunch of ass holes who wants to bitch.

Here is some fact: first, my first language is french so excuse me if some of my text looks retard , second, i don't know much about mechanic and this is my first project, but i'm loving it and I want to learn as much as possible so all tips will be enjoy. Finally, as you all know, we can't have a legal GTR-34 in Canada, especially in Québec.

    Here the project:

I'm dreaming of a GTR-34, but not only a regular one, I want to put all the time needed to construct a legend. As you know, all skyline are basiquelly made on the same frame, even gtr-32, gts-t, and the gtr-34. Of course, there is alot of specific change on all model, but here all I needed was the frame. On papers, refering to the serial number, that will be a gts-t 1989. In fact, its going to be a sick r34. So I bought a GTS-T 1989 in perfect condition (whitout paint) to keep the frame. I ordered part from everywhere in the world, I got the full conversion kit from USA, I just got the front and the tail lights from Japan and I bought two RB26 dett at JDM Motors in montreal. Me and my friend have just finish to disasembled the two engine and we are keeping the best parts of both.

The body is presently at a special bodyshop for fitting and painting. That is the first big question. The paint... The bodyshop is a pro air-brush so he could made sick stuff (we already draw some prototype that you'll see after). What would be nicer, sick air-brush all around the car or a clean sinple color?

Here we are. We now have to order pieces so here start the tips i'll need. I want to construct the best engine possible, so i'll need the best part from the best customers. Let"s start with all basic parts just as pistons, rods, cams, cams wheel, crank, and turbo kit. We were thinking about wiseco stuff and probably a t88 as turbo kit.

    Let's start!

Listen to this man and you will achieve what you want. Seriously.

Oh yeah and don't do any crazy airbrush action. Just get some Bayside Blue or Midnight Purple II and you are set.

Yes i'm going to AWD, the answer to your question is pretty much simple. At the moment of buying the car, all gtr were around 11 000$, and I got the GTs-T for 6000$. Basiquelly, even if i would have bought a gtr, i still want to upgrade everything so i'll still need to buy the piece.

when it comes to sick paint jobs, some people like lean and clean others like over the top graphic designs... and others like a combo of both... my suggestion is to have done what YOU want, and as long as it is done well it will look amazing...
