BEST phone apps for gear heads

Found an amazing iPhone app for car calculations, no need to search the web looking for formulas.
auto:Math check it out on Apple App

auto:Math is a utility that helps simplify the calculation of various automotive parameters. auto:Math eliminates the need to memorize formulas and provides numerous categories and groups of calculations. Using a simple interface, just enter the requested inputs, hit Calculate and get your answer instantly. This program is a great tool for any car enthusiast.

    Calculation categories include:

    -Displacement, Stroke & Bore
    -Compression Ratio
    -Piston Speed
    -Brake Horsepower & Torque
    -Indicated Horsepower
    -Weight Distribution
    -Center of Gravity
    -gForce and Weight Transfer
    -Quarter-Mile Elapse Time and MPH
    -Instrument Error
    -MPH, RPM, Gears & Tires
    -Tire Sizes and Their Effects
    -Average MPH and MPG

What other useful or amusing car apps are you guys using???
The auto:Math is deffinetly worth the few $s in my eyes.

I have PocketDyno on my phone. You enter your car's weight and do a live run in your car and it spits out a calculated HP number, among other variables.

I watched a video review of a similar iPhone app and it was surprisingly accurate. It was only a few hp off from the actual dyno results.

I use aDyno on Android for this and works great.

Although it's more than just your car's weight you need to put in. There's a considerable amount of data you need to put in in order to get a good reading including weight, drag coefficient, frontal width of the car, speed at designated rpms, etc. You need to do a bit of research online to get those numbers before.

I actually have them for R32 GTR come to think of it. Here's what I had:

Pitch Characteristics: 2.00 o/g (used default value)
Roll Characteristics: 2.5 o/g (used default value)
    Weight: 1480 kg + Driver + Fuel
    Drive train loss: 25%
    Rolling resistance: 0.015%
    Drag coefficient: 0.350
    Frontal Area: 2.090 m2
    Speed @ 2000 rpm (2nd gear): 32.2 km/h
    Speed @ 8000 rpm (2nd gear): 123.9 km/h

If anyone has any more accurate numbers feel free to pass them!

Pocketdyno doesn't require all those technical values. Of course it'll provide a more accurate result, but on a basic level all you need is distance and time which is what you get from doing a live run. The accelerometers in the phone and a specified weight provide the rest of the variables in the horsepower equation. Your drag coefficient, parasitic drag, etc are already accounted for when you have actual real world velocity and accel numbers.

Garage419 did check the video above. Real time dyno results were 165.5 and iPhone was 170.

It all comes down to the accuracy of the program (some are better than others), and the accuray of the data you input in your software as a base. Of course if you get your car weight off by 100kg your results are going to be off.
