no problems, caught on right away, like a second nature. I love it, I had no problems what so ever.
You said you ended up facing the wrong direction.Originally Posted by turbo_steve
Anyways, yeah man, it is super easy, the hardest thing to remember is to look left when you are looking for the rear-view mirror, not right. Other than that, get ready for a lot of people pulling up beside you asking stupid ******* questions, like "what kind of car is that?". I coulda punched the kid in the head for that one (kid was driving a cavalier). Oh, and get ready for everyone to want to race you, because I have had like a million and one challenges, getting really annoying.
Actually, that just happened this week, I've had my car since end of May. The reason I ended up facing the wrong way was not because I wasnt used to RHD, it was that I wasn't used to RWD in the rain, and I ended up just giving it to much gas on my damn bald tires. Anyways, you are very right about people and the car. I generally drive with my windows up to try and avoid people talking to me at every light. And you have all the ricers who either slow right down and hang around your car, or speed up like crazy to catch you, and everyone asks what it is, where it comes from, how it got here, "is it wierd being on that side" all the time, and yes, everyone wants to race. But I love the car and its definitely worth the hastle. Oh, and for some reason everyone automatically assumes that its from England for some damn reason. Are you getting more attention or pull over by the cops?
I don't think a single cop has ever been close to my car, except one, who was following me down the road, and I had a passenger at the time so he probably didn't even know what the car was.Originally Posted by niko
i've now had two experiences with Rhd vehicles in road blocks, one was last night in a Landcruiser......i will usuallly catch an officer off guard, i've had them say; wow, ummmm, where's this from? i remember when....etc.
both times so far they've stayed on the opposite side of talking to me through the passenger window....if you have power windows> definitly a bonus.
if you have such things as a sunroof, auction paint or day permits taped to the passenger window, alot of pepole are thrown off by this, including cops passing by.
i went to hop into the passenger side this morning? wheres the steering wheel??....and column mounted wiper switches are something you may be in need of getting used to.
a funny thing happened this moring as well........some little blonde girl hollered....."hey look mommy he's from London" an pointed at me>>> she may have been 4, quite cute.![]()
