Solid subframe and diff bushings, which one goes where...help

Alright i've received my solid subframe bushings and diff bushings, now I have two questions:

Q #1 .I think I have the answer to this one but im just making sure .In the picture bellow ,the solid bushing with the flat top should be mounted facing up towards the body and not on the lower portion of the subframe facing the ground right?

Q #2.Diff bushes ,as you can see one bushing is thicker than the other .Would it mount or the top portion facing the underbody or lower portion facing the ground? Also you can see the bushings are to tall and the brace is not up tight with the subframe , should I shave down the bushing or add a washer where the gap is?

    Thank you

If the bushes aren't cheap universal ones, they shouldn't need to be modified I would think. What make are those? I have the feeling they're gonna give your NVH a good increase lol I'd throw them on as is unless the seller said otherwise.

I found all my answers but now I ran into another problem, I test fitted the subframe with the bushings in and the clearance between the mounting pins is to tight making it real tough to mount the subframe.Everytime I jack up the subframe the whole chassis lifts.

The subframe bushings are AMS and diff bushings are Driftworks.

Why didn't you go with driftworks all around? Are we talking AMS from the US or the canadian company which seems to be fail?

AMS canada, since they were avalailable and both companies offer basicaly the same solid bushing, the uk guys have had the same problem as I do with the DW products.

hmm. Most of the Driftworks is not made in the UK sadly, they're simply sold there. I think it's a chinese factory however the billet stuff was supposedly made in the UK. Either way, if other people have had issues, why isn't it corrected. I have the same bushes but never installed them. Waiting till next winter when I drop all the frames for powder coating.
