Noob question (Brakes)

Hey everyone, lurked here back when I was looking into picking up a GTS-T Type M but recently I picked up a 96 240SX ! Thing is, the thing came with a brake swap from a what was only described as "skyline brakes" they're black calipers if that helps?

anyways the e-brake doesn't work and my mechanic advised me that it could be a number of things:
-no cable
-snapped cable
-no drum shoes

I was wondering if any of the e-brake setup would be interchangeable with Z32 parts or anything like that?

Z32 and R32 handbrake system is the same, you can swap all the parts
