Is there enough meat left to clean the threads with a die nut?

Go to "Fasten All". I don't know if there is one near you but they can supply any fastener in any grade.

Press in studs are not that easy to find, you might be able to get a used top mount from auto wrecker with the correct size studs. Check also the "junk" pile at local garages and body shops for discarded "top hats"? Worst case is to get new top mounts and you should replace them in pairs.

Most studs I come across in fastener catalogs are the double end threaded type, as for me I usually spec "weld-on" studs (I'm in industrial design) . The problem is that even if you can find a stud of the same diameter the knurl size (press-in part) may not be the same. If the new studs has bigger knurl you can alway re-drill the holes bigger but as long as the new studs are from a "top mount" they should be safe to use because they are for the same application. If the studs are 12mm you could try using replacement studs for wheels but I would think they are more like M10 or M8?. Another suggestion would be to contact Crux directly or through a part supplier who can order from Japan for replacement parts.
