    Fuel gauge not working help!

Hey guys need a bit of help regarding my fuel gauge. Today out of total randomness my fuel gauge just stopped working and instead of reading half a tank it dropped all the way to E. Being very cautious i filled up an extra 20 just incase i was actually running on fumes but still nothing. So my question is what could be causing this and how would i fix this problem? Would it have to do with electricals behind the dash? or maybe the fuel gauge sender? Any tips from your experiences would be very helpful. I just hate driving around with such mystery of whether or not i will make it home.

    thanks,
    mark

wheres youe sense of adventure? haha
either the sender on top of the pump or wiring between sender and gauge or the gauge itself
look in the trunk theres a panel under you should see the top of the pump hopefully a wire has gotten bumped

Yup it was just the sender. Wires probably just came loose or something because it looked fine, and after reconnecting everything the gauge worked. LOl there won't be any adventure if i have no gas!
