    Steering Boots

    Any idea how hard it is to change the power steering boots on a r32? And dont tell me to search. Im looking for someone who has done it and can tell me how hard it is. Thx

    if its the same as on a 240, which i think it is, just take the tie rod off and slide it out. replace and there ya go.

    also, I had a tough time getting the damn boot on to the rack. it just takes some messing around.

    budget for a couple hours imo

    you'll need an alignment after because you'll be removing the outer tie rod.

    You don't need that puller either, just a few strikes with a good 10oz will do.
    My Ctrl button has the 'C' scratched off it.

    If you want to get away without doing an alignment just tape the rod so the edge sits against the nut, then mark the nut and tie-rod end then match em back up when your putting it back together. Technically you SHOULD get an alignment, but if your marks are good you won't really notice a difference, and if your on a budget.
