    Air release vent

Today I opened up the air release bleed screw to check if there was any airto be bled from my coolant system, and discovered a problem. No air OR coolant came out. I could not feel or hear any air coming coming out, and it is too small with a tight bend to get much in to clean with, but I was able to get a little bit of junk out, a brown pasty substance. The coolant itself looks clean, I drained a little bit. Any tips on cleaning the vent, or should I just take it in and get a complete flush to try and clean it out?

    Thanks!

You removed the screw with the engine running right? Just making sure.

Yup, revved the engine a bit too and let it run for a while to make sure it was circulating.

Where is this vent? Is that the plug on the lower passenger side of the block?
    Regards,
    Ken.

Putting an air gun on it may be able to get the job done?

I'd just make sure not to go all out at first and maybe have the rad cap off so the pressure can exit the system (although the rad cap should open when pressure becomes too high).

Already tried, no go. Seems to be really plugged.
