    Winter Storage

    Hello
I was reading information online about general winter car storage care
I thought this was the most informative site:
    http://www.lxforums.com/board/f87/wi...re-tips-92666/
Does anyone have any skyline specific tips?
Ex. any specific dirty spots that I should scrub out? etc...
    Thanks

some things I might add, disconnect the negative terminal, I also change tranny oil, I wont be starting the car so after full tank of gas put fuel stabilizer, keeps fuel good for up to one year

    1. Full Wash and good wax the day or 2 before you put it away
    2. Put Fuel stabilizer in before your last fill up (and fill it right up before storing)
    3. Change the oil the day you put it away (better to let clean oil sit in the pan...you can use regular oil if you do this in the spot your storing the car, just change it out again before you drive in the spring)
    4. inflate your tire pressure by 10-15 lbs
    5. regardless of where you put it roll up on to some 2 by 4's to get the tires off the groud (whether on grass or cement)
    6. Steel wool in the muffler tip
    7. Bounce sheets in the cabin, engine bay, and trunk
    8. Disconnect the battery, or take it out completely move all electrical parts before this step like folding the mirrors in lol (put it on a trickle charger, do not store it on the ground)
    9. Put your car cover on make sure it's nice and snug. Cover should fit very snug, and you should bungee cord the sides together and front and back together under the car. DO NOT USE TARP! only breathable material, the premium cover by simonz at CT works perfect. You could also put it in a car tent at this point if you choose.
    10. Put storage insurance on, sit back and enjoy the longest 6 months of your life.

There are pickier things that can be done but these are the must do's that i've put out and used from doing lots of searching last year.

    Hope it helps.

It's like the battery Idea, it's better to have it sitting on something than sitting on the ground itself. If you can get it 1-2 inches off the ground, it takes the tires off the cold earth and it creates another inch under the car which should help the amount of moisture being collected.
