    Raising front of seat?

So heres my issue, my legs are a fair length and so with my seat all the way back they have to be bent and the area just under my knee caps are alway lifted apart from the front of the seat.

This has become a bit uncomfortable after a reletively short drive.
So i am wondering if anyone here has a solution to this. I dont want my seat to slide back any further as my arms arent the longest to reach the wheel lol.

I waa thinking of using washers under the front mounting points to lift up the front a bit and creat a larger seat bottom angle to support my legs/knees/thighs etc...
I dont think it would make too much difference but for the record i have r34 seats instead of r32.

    Any ideas?

That is what I would do. Long legs and short arms... Should blame your parents.

I would suggest maybe trying to get some custom seats brackets made or maybe a set of bride low max rails would help as they sit lower and could help your situation. You can also do a hub extention with some creative like drag cars man. Really not that hard for the hub but as for the the rails I dot have any further experience I can help you with

Not to be critical but lowering the seat would make his problem worse. The washer idea would probably work, but your bolts wouldn't be sitting flat against the rails anymore but as long as you have washers under the head of the bolt you shouldn't risk bending the bolt holes in the rail but I have no idea how strong they are but if your only going up like a quarter inch it would be marginal anyway. That or something custom but washers are cheap I don't know how much headroom you have but you could try raising the while seat with a couple washers all around. I'm sure your tall though if your having the issue in the first place

not too tall just oddly sized lol! I DO blame my parents addict lol.

Headroom isn't an issue, but i was thinking of raising the front only because this would also bring the effect of a "deeper" bucket seat... I THINK?

Not sure if anyone here has ever owned a vw, but the seats from my mkII golf had adjustments where you could actually tilt the bottom of the seat forward or backward, essentially this is what i want to achieve.

Ya your right I wasn't totally thinking when I said this. The hub is straight forward though. But you could do it like a drag car and relocate the seat back a foot and just extend the column or hub so it reaches your arms. Should be crazy difficult.

Now if you start putting washers in there some of the rigidity might not be as good.

the GTS seats do that too, tilting bottom.

The steering wheel moves in and out as well. not sure if your aware of that. it's got height and telescopic adjustment.

Could also do something crazy like that although I'm sure they are stupid expensive and not overly sporty looking lol washers would be cheaper but ya rigidity would probably be affected. Hard to say how much though

I lol'd at "should be crazy difficult" and "i went with the steering wheel in the chest option" lol

Im going to look into modifying my seat rail mounts to raise the front.
Shouldnt be too hard with some mild steel and a mig welder
