Removing the front wheel bearings on a GTR

I know someone here must have done this already so here is where i am at ..

Has anyone successfully done this job ? I have seen info on doing it on a GTS , but cant find any info on a GTR .

    Mine is a R33 1995 GTR

It looks like the wheel flange is press fitted into the center of the bearing , and the bearing is also press fitted into the knuckle.

    DIscuss ?

need a press.... it totally sucks ass

you can use an impact socket with an extension that fits up to the hub and pound the hell out of it to get the hub out (will most likely ruin your extension.... i have one just for this purpose)
but the main bearing is going to need the press.... that fuker is IN THERE

more than like its gonna come out in a few peices

well freezing it wont do anything unless you keep the knuckle hot and bearing cold

I would just take both Spindles off and bring them to a shop, might cost ya 50 bucks to get them pressed out and new one's pressed in. Save ya time and aggravation..... Plus pounding and pounding on something is never good for it.......... Just my two cents....

The knuckle is made of aluminum , im not pounding anything , spoke to my nissan mechanic friend this morning and the knuckle has to be left on the car and the wheel mounting flange pulled out with a slide hammer , then the bearing can be pressed out.

He said you can freeze it and it will come out easier because the contraction rate of steel vs aluminum is in my favour
