Who's got HSD's mine knock over bumps. Do yours?

HSD suspension. These are my first set of coilovers. I was looking for a good set of affordable street suspension.
Unfortunately I don't think they where installed correctly. Or are all coilovers noisy over bumps?

I watched the install video's a few times. I believe I can handle adjusting them.
maybe the springs are loose, its also too low for street,, I could be rubbing.

    any suggestions?

Is the ride stiff? Have you checked for any rubbing? I recall a similar noise from my suspension and I just adjusted the dampers.
    Because race car.

Shouldn't knock over bumps...check out the install and see if anything is amiss. It could also be the upper links, they will knock over bumps if they are done.

What Daryl said, sounds like your FUCAs. Buddy of mine has really stiff coils and has replaced bushings or anything like that.

I think the stiff coils didn't make it any easyier on the car or fucas/ rest of suspension.
Traction is optional, so are zipties

I had HSD 12/10s and now I have 8/6s. Both sets knocked until I did what Daryl said.. Did both of them last year and no more knocks on bumps!

No knocking on mine, most likely follow advice above. Sway bar end links can cause this problem even though they feel tight. I went through this with a Maxima and my wifes Escape.

    there should be no sound,
granted one should expect not the most controlled quality build for the price.
but i mean im sure you can take it a part and just put it back together better then from factory.
    coilovers are very simple.

I have stance coil overs which are basically HSD. One thing I will stress is that you raise the car up, removing weight of the coilover, and make sure the car isn't lowered by drooping the spring and that it is lowered by the bottom of the shock mount. By drooping the spring rate you are effectively saying goodbye to any performance so when you hit a bump the spring has much more movement that if you have it lowered by the base with a helper spring in-between.
