    Reytec / Tomei ECU

    Hi Guys

Been a while since i looked for advice so here goes .

I have a brand new power FC to install this year to replace my Essential nerve ECU my r33 GTR came with from Japan - HOWEVER , been looking at the Reytec system . It is a map system , does not need the existing MAFS or oxygen sensors , comes pretty much plugin and just some minor tweaks to get running for oversized injectors , poncams etc etc , and comes with computer software and a manual that explains how it all works . I downloaded the instructions and it looks like a better option which leads me to the question - who has used one ? and how did it perform ?

The reasoning is the Map setup , it means I can lose my maxed out factory maf setup instead of paying alot for nismo mafs or modifying for Z32 mafs , I already have the required wideband O2 in place , and im not afraid of the tuning myself.

I have a greddy suction kit that i plan to remove and want to use an ARC like FIlter Box and suction kit that im fabbing myself.

    Anyone have an opinion ?

I'm assuming you have the L jetro PFC?
The D jetro is MAP, not MAF
I have the r33 gtr PFC with a few pins modified to work on my GTS t.
It's a bread and butter standalone system. Pretty easy to use and somewhat basic
There is more advanced systems (haltec, motec, hks fcon)
It's been successful for me and many others
Just depends how far you want to take it

yea he was selling it for like 500 bucks i think. the reytec is good and if you can tune yourself even better. but i gotta say i like my powerfc djetro for the simplicity of it. i also grabbed it because of the local tuners available. although i do wish it had more features. mainly launch control....

Thanks for the input guys , i like the idea of ditching the MAFS and the o2 sensors , makes thing alot simpler . I googled the Reytec and there were a few complaints about the software being in Japanese only ( not my strongest language ) , so im hoping someone can give me some feed back on their experiences .

A new Reytec is cheaper than the Power FC L-jetro unit i have if i take into consideration I have to replace the factory Mafs with something better. Nismo ones were around the $1000 mark for a pair .

I might sell the unopened PowerFC and go for the Reytec , gotta do a bit more research before my final decision.

Why not just get two used Z32 MAFs (100$ ea) and Tomei Pigtails ($30 ea)? Were your Trust pipes for stock MAFs or Z32 MAfs? If they were the latter they would have already come with pigtails. I think this would easily handle your airflow plus would be a lot easier to tune than a MAP based setup.

My trust pipes were for stock sized mafs - im thinking more and more the reytec unit depending on what the tuning software looks like that comes wit it , i was hoping that maybe someone could talk from experience and maybe even throw me a few screen shots of the software

Not much different to Nistune with 16x16 maps, but has MAP sensor, IAT sensor.

Can play with online demo -

Click on Reytec on left side to see info -

If have the $$$, Link ECU or VIPEC ECU, as get onboard boost control, etc.

Hey Jon. I thought the Power FC has launch control. You just have to set the 0km/hr Rev limit. Am I right or wrong?
Dang! You got shocks, pegs... Lucky! You ever take it off any sweet jumps?

I'd get rid of the MAF's. I haven't used the Raytec ECU, but love the ViPEC. It just works - no drama, no problems, just drive.
